Government propaganda is so insidious

It's always the same before any sporting event. Government soldiers marching with guns. A government flag stretched across the entire field. Government fighter jets flying overhead.

Nearly everything has become a celebration of the state, and its accompanying warfare. This is, of course, not an accident.

Pretty creepy.

(More) Foreign Policy Foolishness

http://news.antiwar.com/2012/04/10/mccain-and-lieberman-meet-with-free-syrian-army/

"Meeting elements of the opposition along the Turkish-Syrian border, the senators call for arming the rebels."

Sounds foolproof, right? (Brought to you by two of the biggest fools in the inglorious history of U.S. foreign policy foolishness)

Obama admirer to teach ‘Understanding Obama’ class at Harvard Law School

For any Harvard Law students trying to understand how it is that more undeclared and unnecessary wars, more corporate bailouts and handouts, and a continued erosion of civil liberties constitute "hope and change", this course seems like it would be very useful. (Of course, none of that will be discussed.)

"But we must realize that no action can be considered virtuous unless it is undertaken freely, by a person's voluntary consent." - Murray Rothbard

After a full day of air travel, I have an observation. It is quite clear to me that the intention of TSA policymakers is to intimidate, degrade and even humiliate in order to coerce submission on the part of all travelers. I strongly resent being treated as if I am a criminal simply because I have chosen to fly on a plane. "The land of the free"? Yeah right.

The biggest threat to liberty

"I am convinced that there are more threats to American liberty within the 10 mile radius of my office on Capitol Hill than there are on the rest of the globe."
  -- Ron Paul

Bend over

And make sure you thank your government rulers for keeping you "safe".

Imperial idiocy

http://news.antiwar.com/2012/04/03/first-contingent-of-us-troops-arrive-in-australia/
The U.S. troops presence will eventually grow to a 2,500-strong air-ground task force by 2016, as per President Obama’s new bilateral defense deal with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, first announced in November. The deal also includes an increased presence of U.S. warships and military aircraft – including B52 bombers – to operate from Australian bases.
So, the bankrupt U.S. government will attempt to contain China by expanding its empire using money borrowed from...China?
